About UptimeSheriff
UptimeSheriff is an uptime monitoring service from Hannover, launched in 2026. It checks websites and APIs every minute, reports outage and recovery via email, Telegram, Slack and webhook, and shows availability on a public status page without login.
DPP Hero uses UptimeSheriff for its own platform: the service checks dpphero.com, the app and the REST API around the clock. If something fails, our team knows within minutes rather than when a customer calls. A battery passport must remain reachable for the entire life of the battery, so we publish our availability: anyone can view the status page.
UptimeSheriff comes from the same house as DPP Hero: ORBIXNET, the studio for web apps and SaaS in Hannover. Both products share the same standard: simple operation, servers in Germany, data that never leaves the EU. The Free plan includes all alert channels and needs no credit card; the current plans are listed on uptimesheriff.com.
For your battery passport one thing matters most: the QR code on the battery lives as long as the battery, and Article 77(3) makes the passport accessible through exactly that code. If you publish your passports under your own domain, add that address as a monitor and you learn about outage and recovery immediately. We monitor the passports on dpphero.com for you.
Monitoring and passport data work together: DPP Hero keeps the content of your passport current, UptimeSheriff keeps an eye on its reachability. The Battery Regulation requires the passport to remain accessible through the QR code; with a public status page you show customers and authorities that it is, instead of merely promising it.

How it works with DPP Hero
DPP Hero monitors dpphero.com, the app and the REST API with UptimeSheriff. The public status page is linked as “Status” in the footer; there you see availability and history without login. You monitor your own passport pages with your own UptimeSheriff account.
Create an UptimeSheriff account, no credit card needed, and add the address of your passport page or your own domain as a monitor.
Choose an alert channel: email, Telegram, Slack or webhook. You get a message on outage and on recovery.
Publish the status page and share the link with customers or authorities who should see availability.
