## Regulatory Context

- The EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 requires a digital battery passport for electric vehicle, industrial (>2 kWh), and LMT batteries from February 18, 2027
- DIN DKE SPEC 99100:2025-02 defines the data structure for the battery passport and is expected to align with upcoming EU delegated acts

DPP Hero structures battery passport data according to DIN DKE SPEC 99100:2025-02, covering seven mandatory categories:

4. **Supply Chain Due Diligence** (DIN SPEC 6.4): Due diligence policy, third-party audit reports, supply chain risk assessment
5. **Circularity & Resource Efficiency** (DIN SPEC 6.6): Dismantling instructions, spare parts availability, recycled content shares (cobalt, lithium, nickel, lead)
